Francis Street Friendly Circle Club Gives the Centre Avenue YMCA It's First Television Set

From left to right:  first person is unidentified, the little boy is David Peeler who is the father of Lawrence Peeler (the first African American teacher to work as a full-time teacher in the Pittsburgh Public Schools), unidentified man, Mrs.Beatrice Saunders Robinson, president of the club and Mrs. Harvey Hatcher, founder of the club.  This picture is to believed to have been taken in 1951 at the Centre Avenue YMCA located in the Hill District.
