My organization, The National Black Political Caucus conducted a relentless, intensive campaign to have Alphonso Jackson appointed as the Public Safety Director for the City of Pittsburgh who had been the Public Safety Director for the City of St. Louis. We also demanded that Mayor Richard Caliguiri appoint William Bugsy Moore to the position of Chief of Police for the City of Pittsburgh. I was honored to attend his swearing-in ceremony at the City County Building. |
